A future without carbon black - black caps without soot

Recycling continues to be important to us.

There are already enough PCR materials that can be used for the production of our closures. But what about black colours? In most cases, carbon black or carbon black is still used in the production of masterbatches. It is an inorganic, powdery solid that is produced by the incomplete combustion of natural gas or other petroleum products. It cannot be detected in the recycling process, which is always a problem.

Therefore, our ink suppliers have looked for a solution and formulated a masterbach without carbon black. Thus, the dyed closure can be sorted and recycled with the help of infrared detection.

Some colour trials could also be done in our house. This time we chose our glossy closure Ø30mm H-29151 from the Classic Standard series for sampling. The colour is easy to work with, but the closures tend to have a deep brown to black hue. See for yourself and order samples here: Contact

If you have any questions, would like samples or perhaps a special sampling, please contact us at any time. We would be happy to discuss a currently topical issue with you.

There are already some colours without heavy metals available on the market!

We look forward to your enquiries!
