New fastener Ø19mm with M09 thread

To complement our existing range, we have added a new closure H-180942 & H-180946 from the Softline Standard series with an M09 thread. The injection point for this new closure in glossy and matt version is, as with all other closures, on the inside. Our portfolio currently contains more than 27 different closures Ø19mm. You can find an overview here.

Depending on the design - whether higher, lower, glossy, ribbed or matt, with M11 or M09 thread - everyone finds what they are looking for.

We continue to make progress: closures made from PLA

In August we tested another biodegradable bioplastic Arc Biox B2004. This time we selected and successfully sampled our closure H-291562 from the Softline Deluxe series for the trials. PLA - polylactide/lactic acid has its origin in plant starch, consists of a renewable raw material and has a better CO2 balance compared to other plastics such as PET or PP.

Other advantages of closures made from this material include: they consist of at least 59% organic content and are biodegradable according to DIN EN 13432 and in addition the closures have EU food approval. A disadvantage of all environmentally friendly materials is the price factor. A 2-3 fold increase in closure prices cannot be ruled out.

Here you can find our updated flyer about the organic materials we tested ourselves: Flyer

RUBA toolmaking

The quality of our products is directly dependent on the care and maintenance of the tools.

With RUBA, you have a partner at your side who offers you competent advice and support from the initial idea to the production of your desired closure. We look for the optimal solution for you and produce cost-attractive injection moulds for you within a short time.

Before we offer a new tool, the possibilities of the so-called MyCap by RUBA system are examined. The modular design offers a wide range of solutions for existing internally moulded caps.

For completely new projects entirely customised to customer requirements, two options are available for mould design: Internally or externally moulded closure. The decisive point for the design is also the mould size, or the number of cavities. An expected annual quantity of parts plays an important role.

New apprentices 2019

An important task in our company is the training of apprentices. In August, we welcomed Mrs. Edona Kastrati as a prospective businesswoman and Mr. Muhammed Yasartürk as a future plastics technologist.

The apprentices Mr. Moritz Hessler and Mr. Sky Kyas, who are already in their third year of training, are actively helping the new colleagues to settle into working life.

The RUBA team is looking forward to accompanying and supporting you during this time.
