Based on the motto "Caps must become more sustainable!", we have tested further PCR materials.

Our granulate supplier recently informed us that it has received approval for several recyclates made from 100% PCR materials for applications in the cosmetics industry and that they meet the requirements of the statutory regulations.
One of these was a PCR-HDPE type PreFin /F/583, which has been again and again requested by our customers.
The screw cap H-24116 from the Classic Standard line in a matt finish was successfully sampled with this material.
The basic color of the material is milky white and can be easily combined with various masterbatches if required. According to our internal assessment of the samples, occur flow lines and orientations on the top plate, which are particularly typical for HDPE parts. To obtain visually more attractive closures, we recommend a matt outer shape.

The second trial followed immediately afterwards. A transparent PCR-PP-resin. The PreProp /F/323 has a yellowish inherent color, but is still one of the most transparent PCR caps that we have been able to test so far. However, it should be noted that the parameters of the various articles may vary slightly from the Virgin-PP drawing values due to the using of different tools. For this reason it is needed to provide a feasibility test for each cap separately.
