RUBA - 65 years of experience

The story of RUBA begins in 1958, in a basement of a family house in Rheinfelden, Switzerland. Mr. RUdolf BAumgartner (RUBA) constructed his first injection mould here and soon started also the production of screw caps. After his initial success, he grounded the company RUBA Thermoplast AG and three generations later we proudly keep the original name until today.

1974 was the "moving year" for us. The first production hall and the tool making were built in Zuzgen, only 10 km away from Rheinfelden. In 2003, the youngest son Mr. Jost Baumgartner took over the management of the company.

Thanks to the right strategy, the renewal of the machinery and of course, the excellent quality of the products and services, the customer demand grew enormously. The capacity of the warehouse became too small, so the new warehouse was built in 2014, which needed a further extension three years later. Today there is a production area of over 1’600 square meters and up to 1’000 square meters of storage space.

RUBA has been managed by Mrs Sarah Rieder since 2020 "Finding a successor within the family in this industry is not an obvious thing. That's why I'm very happy that my daughter took over the management of the company in the 3rd generation with 65 years of experience," said Jost Baumgartner, the father of Sarah Rieder.

The values we have set long time ago are valid until today and also in the future we will endeavor to work on the success of our brand. However, none of this would be possible without our customers, partners and of course our employees.

In this sense, we would like to thank all of you for your 65 years of loyalty and trusting cooperation.
